The Men's Tasmanian Open is an Australian Men's Ranking Event. It is for players of any age, and is played over 72-holes stroke play. It is conducted by Golf Tasmania.

National Squad Member, 17-year-old Ricky Kato has won 2012 Country Club Tasmania Open Golf Championship. Kato returned rounds of 67, 65, 67 and 76, a nine-under-par total of 275.
Kato claimed the event by two strokes from New South Welshman Brett Drewitt on 277 (-7). Victoria’s Geoff Drakeford placed third on 278 (-6).
Kingston Beach Golf Club’s Nathan Gatehouse was the leading Tasmanian on 281 (-3).
NSW, represented by Daniel Bringolf and Brett Drewitt, collected the two-man-team trophy, the Don Cameron Shield.
